Conserving water has become a way of life for many Californians.  One popular way to conserve water is having drought-tolerant plants and a low water usage landscape. However, many people have misconceptions about what low water usage landscapes should look like and the ongoing maintenance required to care for them.

In the past several years in Elk Grove, we have lost at least one home to improperly disposed of fireworks and one home every year to illegal fireworks. So yes, it can happen here also. Please read these important safety tips if you plan to use fireworks this 4th of July.

As many of you know, our beautiful pear trees are infected with a destructive bacterial disease called Fire Blight. This common and aggressive disease can be very expensive to treat and difficult if not impossible to control. Read more about why the Board plans to replace some of our pear trees.

As we enter drought season it is important to follow the watering schedule provided by the Sacramento County Water Agency. Together we can all help conserve water!

The City of Elk Grove is proposing an affordable housing complex at the Southwest corner of Harbour Point and Maritime Drive. The Association is not involved with this project, we are encouraging homeowners to attend their virtual meeting on May 25th at 6:30 pm so you can explore the information provided by the City Council.
