President’s Message

Hello Neighbors,

On October 12, we had our second attempt at our Annual Meeting. While just a handful of residents joined in, we were able to complete the election and name two new members to our Board of Directors. I’d like to say welcome aboard to Jasmine Sou and Peter Sakaris. Both Jasmine and Peter have lived in Lakeside for a long time, and have been active in our community by serving on committees. I look forward to working with each of them. While we are welcoming two Board members, we must say goodbye to two others. Susan Kasamatis is the energizer bunny of our group. She comes up with ideas and makes them happen. She is passionate and driven. Many of the changes you see are because of Susan. She is especially passionate about landscaping and is always pushing our landscapers to do just a little better. One of her most important contributions was the push to find FirstService Residential. Thank you Susan! You are already missed.

Cliff has been involved with the board for as long as I can remember. He is a past president, several times over. There isn’t a job he hasn’t done. Cliff has a wealth of professional experience that he brought to the Board. Because of this, he is always a voice you can depend on. He is analytical, smart and driven. He has countless contacts in the city. If we have a hard question to answer, Cliff knows who to ask. Cliff, you were a tremendous asset to Lakeside and we are all better because of your service.

We will be losing another member of our Lakeside family soon. Brandon is moving on to another position within FirstService Residential. In fact, this newsletter is his last official act for Lakeside. Good luck Brandon!
